RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH ORDERING
VACATION OF A PORTION OF BOLSA
A VENUE IN THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH
A T ITS INTERSECTION WITH FIFTH AVENUE
WHEREAS, it appearing to the City Council of the City of SeaL Beach
that said CounciL did, heretofore, on the 16th day of October, 195~, by
ResoLution No. 940, declare its intention to order the vacation and closing
up of that portion of BoLsa Avenue in the City of SeaL Beach adjacent to the
northerLy Line of Lot 65 of BLock 104 of St\l.nton and Lothians Second Addition
as shown on map recorded in Book 4, page 19 of MisceLlaneous Maps of
Orange County, California, aod, i
WHEREAS. it further appearing that the City Council did, at said
time, ,decLare Wednesday, November 7, 1956, at the hour of 7:30 P.M.
o.cLock, at ,the City Council Chambers, City Hall, Eighth and CentraL Avenue,
il) the City of Seal Beach, California, as the, time and pLace for any and all
persons having ol:ljections to the proposed vacation of said avenue, hereinabove
described, to appear and object to the vacation thereof; ,and
WHEREAS, it further appearing that notice thereof was duLy posted

and published in the manner prescribed I:ly Law and that the affidavits of post-
ing and pub lioation thereof are on file in the office of the City CL erk, and
evidence having been received that the respective portion of BOlsa Avenue,
as hereinabove described is unnecessary for present or prospective pul:llic
street purposes;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Seal Beach does
resoLve as foLLows:

SECTION 1: That, purusant to the foregoing resolution of intention
and the proceedings had hereunder, said City Council of the City of SeaL Beach
hereby makes its order vacating and closing up thll;t portion of BoLsa Avenue
in the City of SeaL Beach, adjacent to the northerly line of Lot 65, BLock 104
of Stanton and Lothians Second Addition as shown on map rec'orded in Book 4,

SECTION 2~ That the City reserves the right to requ ire and have
3 a rounded-off curb having a fifteen (15) ,radius at the southwesterLy corner
4 of the intersection of Balsa Avenue and,Fifth Street. in accordance with
5 Sections 8330 and 8331 of the Streets and Highways Code of *e State' of
6 CaLifornia. as amended.
7 SECTION 3: The City CLerk shaLL certify to the passage and adoption
8 of this ResoLution and shall cause the same to be published once in the
9 "SeaL Beach Post' and Wave". a newspaper of generaL circuLation pri~ted,
10 published and circulated in the City of SeaL Beach. .
11 PASSED. APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City CpunciL of the
12 City of SeaL Beach at a reguLar meeting thereof heLd on the 7th day of
