RESOLUTION NO. 1046 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH CALLING AND GIVING NOTICE OF THE HOLDING OF A GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD IN SAID CITY ON TUESDAY,. M. of the day of said election and shall remain op(;!n continuously froin said time until seven o'clock P.M. of the same day, wben aald polls shall be closed, except as provided in Section 5734 of the Elections Code of the State of California. SECTION 7: That in all particulars not recited in this Resol\ltion, said election shall be held and conducted as provided by law for holding municipal elections in said City. SECTION 8: That notice of the time and place of I:lolding said election is hereby given and the City Clerk is hereby autborized, instructed and directed to give such further or additional noticEl of said election in time, form and manner as required by law. SECTION 9: That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution; shall enter the same in the book of origlnal Resolutions of said City; and sh~LL make a minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the records of the proceedings of the City Council of said City, in the minutes of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted. SECTION 10: That this Resolution shall take effect immediately. " , .... ORDINANCE NO. 552 A'N ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH AMENDING SECTION 4 OF ORDINANCE NO. 478 TO -ELIMINATE THE POSITION OF CHIEF OF POLICE FROM THE CIVIL , SERVICE SYSTEM. The people of th~ City of SeaL Beach, California, do ordain as follows: 'SECTION 1: Section 4 of Ordinance No. 478 of the City of Seal Beach 'is hereby amended to read as follows,: "The provisions of this , Ordinance shall apply to all departments, div~sions a~d offices of the City governm!lnt, including therein all fuLL-time 'employees of the City ~ except that the following shaLL be exemp't therefrom, to-w'lt: ALL officers elected by the people; aLL members of the City Council: the assista~ts, deputies, clerks and stenographers of the City Attorney; tbe C'ltr Attor,ney and the Chief of Police." This Ordinance shaLL not effect nor apply to any person :who is the duly appolnted and qualified Chief o{Police at the time of the adoption hereof.
