5 WHEREAS, there are growing upon, the streets or sidewalks or
6 upon private property within the City of Seal Beach, weeds which
7 bear aeeds of a wingy or downy natuzoe. or attain such large growth
8 as to become a fire menace \\ben dry or .......ich are otherwise noxious
9 or dangeroua upon the streets or sidewalks in front of, or upon th
10 property hereinafter described, \\bich the City Council of the City
11 of Seal Beach do hereby declare to be a public nuisance,
12 NOW, THEREFORE. the City Council of the City of Seal Beach do s
13 resolve as follows:-

property on which or in front of which such nuisance exists, one
27 notice to each parcel of property in separate ownership of not over
50 foot frontage, or not more than two notices to any piece or
28 parcel Qf property in separate ownership with a frtntage of 100 fee
or less. If the frontage of any piece or parcel of property in sep-
arate ownership is great8l' than 100 feet, notices shall be posted

1954, the City Council of the City of Seal Beach passed
a resolution declaring that noxious or dangerous weeds
were, growing upon or in front of the property on this
street, and more particularly described in said resol-
ution, and that t~e same constitutes a public nuisnace
Yilich must be abated by the removal of said noxious or
dangerous weeds, otherwise they will be removed and the
nusiance will be abated by the MUnicipal authoritiest in
which case the cost of such removal shall be assessed upon
the lots and lands from which or in front of wbicli such
weeds are removed, and such costs will constitute a lien
upon such lots or lands until paid. Reference is hereby
made to said resolution for fuzother particulars.
All prop8l'ty ownershavlng any objections to the proposed
removal of such weeds are hereby notified to attend a
meeting of the City Council of the City of Seal Beach
to be held on the 2nd day of March, 1954, at the houzo
of 7.30 o'clock p.m. when their obJections will be heed
andJiven_due consideration. . j

Council on the disposition of any protests or objections, or in
case no protests or objectiona have been received, the City Council
of the City of Seal BeaCh, by motiOllD or resolution, shall order the
Street Superintendent, or such other public officer as the City
Council shall designate, to abate said nuisance by haVing the Weeds
referred to removed, and he or his assistants or deputies are here
expressly suthorized to enter upon private property for that purpos .
Any property owner shall have the right to have any such weeds

12 shall be posted for at least three days prior thereto on or near
13 the bulletin board located on the first floor of the City Hall ,
14 togetber with a notice of the time when said report shall be sub-
15 mitted to said City Counci~ for con~irm~tion.
