A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY caJNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEAL BEAIJi DECLARING THE RESULT OF A
SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION.
4 WHEREAS, a special munlcipal.election was held and conducted
5 in the City of Seal Beach, County of Orange, State of ealifornia
6 on Wednesday, the 20th day of OctOber, 1954, and
7 WHEREAS, it appears that notice of sald election was duly and
8 regularly given; that voting preCincts were properly establlshed,
9 that election officers were appointed and election supplles
10 furnlshed and that in all respects said election wa~ held and con-
11 .ducted and the votes cast thereat received and canvassed and the
12 returns thereof made and declared In the time, form and manner

required by the laws of the State of Callfornla governing election
in cities of the Sixth Class, and
WHEREAS,' the City Counci.l of the Clty of Seal Beach met at the
Council Chambers of the City Council on Tuesday, the 26th day of

October, 1954 at an'adjourned meeting to canvass the results of

said election, as a result of which the City Council of said City

finds and determines that the number of votes cast for and against
the Proposition appearing on ~he ballot and the other matters
required by lsw to be as herelnafter stated;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Clt~ Councll of the City of Seal Beach
does "solve as follows:-
~: That sald special municipal election was held and
conducted in the City of Seal Beach on Wednesday, October 20,
1954 in the form, time and manner required by law; that there
were eight voting precincts established for the holding of said
election, consisting of the precincts established for holding
county and state elections.

ioned In Section 330 or 330a of the Penal Code is
playedt and making it unlawful to permit, participate,
in or t.requent any such game or bet at such game, prO-
vlding for an exception by allowing t6e Council to issue
s permit for a limited time to certain organizations
snd providlng for an exceptlon when such game is incid-
ental to a bona fide social relationship, and providlng
for penalties for violation thereof and repealing Ord~
inance No. 429, be adopted?
