A RESOLUTION OF 'I'HE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH CALIFOR- NIA, ORDERING THE STREET ~UPERINTEND- ENT TO ABATE A CERTAIN NUISANCE CONSISTING OF OBNOXIOUS AND DANGEROUS WEEDS HER~TOFORE DECLARED TO BE A PUBLIC NUISANCE. " WHEREAS, the City Council ot the Clt~~. Seal Beach, california! did on the ~o~ day of ~i:lk~944, at a regular meet ng of the,Cl~ Council, du y adopt Resolution No. 5N . and thereby declared thau all TIeeds growing upo~ie streets and sidewalks in tront of or upon prlvate property upon certaln named streets within said City of Seal BeaCh to be a public nuisance, and in such Resolution dld more partlcularly describe such streets in said City, and the lot and block number of the private property on or ~n front of ~hich said nuisance exlsts; and ~rnEREAS the said City Superintendent ns in said Resolution directed has caused to be previously post- ed in front of the property on which,or in tront of which, such nuisance exists, a u'otlce entitled "NOTICE '1'0 DESTROY ':"r.::EDS", as by law provided; and, WHEREAS the posting ot such notice was fully comQleted on or about the j7~day ot AbRiL ,lg44 by said Street Superintend~, and mO~five (5} days prior to the L../f!:- day of fth, , 1944; at the hour ot 8 o'clock ~., and a~cil Chamber in the City Hall Buildlng ot the Clty of Seal Beach, the pIece fixed by the City Council tor the hearing of all persons having any objection to the proposed removal of such weeds and the abate- ment ot such nuisance; and, ~HER~AS, no person has ~ppeared to Object thereto; NOW. THER~FORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Street Superintendent is hereby instructed to abate such nuisance ~y hav~g the weeds referred to in said Resolution No. ~ and.in sucu notice entitled NOTICE TO DESTROY WEEDS removed, and he and his ass- istants or deputies are hereby expressly authorlzed to enter upon all such private property for that purpose, and provided turther that hny pro~erty o~mer shall have the right to have such Vleeds re- moved at his or her own expense, progided the same is done prior to the arrival ot the Street Superin- tendent or hls representatives~ to do the same, and provided such weeds are removeu in the manner approved by said street Superintendent! and pro- vided turther that such Strest SUperinuendent shall keep an account of the cost of abating such nuisance in front of or upon each separate lot or parcel of land where the Dork is done by him or his deputies, and shall render an itemized -l- '" ..-......-....
