Whereas The City Council of the City of Seal Beach, Orange County, California, has been informed that H. J. Resolution 225 entitled "To quiet the titles of the respective States, and others to lands beneath tidewaters and lands beneath navigable waters within the boundaries of such States and to prevent further clouding of such titles" will be submitted to the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States; and Whereas the City of Seal Beach, Orange County, California, is located adjacent to the Pacific Ocean and adjacent to certain tidelands; and Whereas the City Council of the City of Seal Beach and the citizens of said City desire that the aforesaid joint resolution be passed and adopted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States; Now, . The ref 0 r e, be it unanimously RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Seal Beach that said City Council does approve and urge the adoption of H. J. Resolution.225 by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States providing, among other things, that the United States of America renounce and disclaim any right, title, interest or claim, in and to all lands beneath tidewaters and all lands beneath navigable waters within the boundaries of each of the respective States; and Be it FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to U. S. Senator Sheridan Downey and U. S. Senator William F. Knowland, and to U. S. Representatives John Phil1ips and Harry Shepard; and -1- . oJ> ". .. ... I 1 I ~. Resolution Nu~er . .... , -, .('.:r-. Be it FURTHER RESOLVED that U. S. Senators Sheridan Downey and William F. Knowland and U. S.
