A RESOLUTION OF THE CiDTY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SEAL BEACH~ CALIFORNIA! DECLARING
THE RESULTS OF A G.I!:NERAL MUNIC PAL ELECTION
HELD IN THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH ON TUESDAY,
THE 9TH DAY OF APRIL, 1946.
The City Council of the City of Seal Beach, California,
8 does resolve as follows:

WHEREAS, a General Municipal Election was held and
10 conducted in said City of Seal Beach on Tuesday, the 9th day of
11 April, 1946, as required by law; and
12
WHEREAS, it appears that notice of said election was

13 duly and regularly given, that voting precincts were properly
14 established, that election officers were appointed, election
16 supplies furnished, and that in all respects said election was held
16 conducted and the votes cast thereat were received and canvassed
17 and the returns thereof made and declared within the time, form
18 and the manner as required by the GeneEll Election Laws and Elec-
19 tions Code of the State of California; and
20
WHEREAS, the City Council of said city met in the Council'

21 Chamber of the City Hall Building in said City of Seal Beacp on
22 Tuesday, the 16th day of April, 1946, to canvass the returns of
23 said election and install the newly elected officers (and,

26 number of votes cast, the names of the persons voted for, the
26 offices voted for, and the number of votes given in each precinct

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that said General Municipal
31 Election was duly held and conducted in said City of Seal Beach,
32 California, on Tuesday, the 9th day of April, 1946 at the time

1 and in the form and manner as required by law; that four (4) voting
2 precincts for the purp~se of holding the election, consisting of
3 the regular election precincts established for holding State and
4 County elections were established as follows: Voting Precinct
6 No.1, polling place, 212 - ,th Street, Seal Beach, California;
6 Voting Precinct No.2, polling place, 127 Dolphin Avenue, Seal
7 Beach, California; Voting Precinct No.3, polling place, City Ball
8 Building, Seal Beach, California; Voting Precinct NO.4, polling
9 place, Grammar School Building, Seal Beach, California; that the
10 whole number 01' votes cast at said election was 1/43; 'ehat the
11 names of the persons voted for, the offices for which they were
12 voted, the number 01' votes given each of satli persons in each
13 precinct, together with the total number 01' votes given to each 01'
14 said persons, including absentee votes, and the Propositions voted

levy annually a S1llll not exceeding 10 cents upon each
$100.00 of assessed value of taxable property in the City

that FRANK L. SHUFELT was elected City Councilman in the City of
Seal Beach for a four (4) year term; that JESSIE W. REED was

2 (4) year term; that JAMES P. BUTLER was elected City Councilman
3 in the City of Seal Beach for a two (2) year term; that LEW
4 WEBSTER was elected City Councilman in the City of Seal Beach for
5 a two (2) year term; that PROPOSITION NO. L was defeated; that
6 PROPOSITION NO. 2 was defeated; that the City Clerk shall enter
'1 upon the records of the City Council a statement of the results
8 of said election showing among other things, the following: (a)
9 The whole number of votes cast in the City (b) The names of the
10 persons voted for; (c) The offices each person was voted for;
11 (d) The number of votes given in each precinct for each person;
12 (e) The number of votes given for and against Proposition NQ.l.
13 (f) The number of votes given for and against Proposition No.2,
14 (g) The number of votes given at each precinct to each person
15 and for and against each proposition.
