A RESOLUTION CONFIlU4ING THE REPORT OF THE
STREET SUPERINTENDENT rOR THE COST OF RE-
MOVING CERTAIN WEEDS AND THE AB~EMENT OF
THE SAME AS A NUISANCE UPON OR IN FRONT OF
CERTAIN REAL PROPERTIES IN THE CITY OF '
SEAL BEACH, CALIFORNIA
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Seal Beach,
California, did on the 2nd day ot March, 1948, by Resolution No.
637, duly introduced and adopted, order that notioe be given to
destro:r weeds W1 thin said City, which said City Counoll had by
said Resolution deolared to be a publ10 nuisanoe; and
WHEREAS, the Street Superintendent of said City of Seal
Beach has oaused suoh notioe to be oonspicuously posted in front
of eaoh paroel of real property upon which, or in front ot whioh,
suoh nuisanoe eXisted, as required b7 said Resolution and as re-
quired by law, at least five (5) days prior to the time for hearlng
obJeotions to the abatement of suoh nuisance; and
WHEREAS, said City Council on the 6th day of April, 1948,
by Resolution No. 638, duly introduoed and adopted, ordered the

Street Superintendent of said 01 ty- to abate said nuisanoe upon the
property, or ln front of whiOh, said nulsanoe eXisted, there being

no person present at said hearing having any obJeotion to the
abatement of said nuisance; and
WHEREAS, the Street Super1ntendent of said C1ty has caused
to be posted a oopy of the attached report upon the bulletin board

adjacent to the door of the Counoil Chamber leading from_the main
25
26 oorridor at the City Hall Building 1n said City, together with a
notioe of the time and plaoe when suoh Report shall be submitted
27
to said Cit:r Counoil for oonfirmatlon, and within at least three
28
(3) days prior to sald date ln said notioe flxed as the time and
29
plaoe for oonsidering said Report by said City Counoll, and July
30
6, 1948, being the time,at the hour of 8100 o'clook P. M., and
31
said City Counoil Chamber,the place speoified in said notioe for
32
the hearing ot any obJeotions; and ~o person appearlng to obJeot

3 IT IS, THEREFORE, NOW BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
4 SEAL BEACH, DETEmlINED, RESOLVED AND ORDERED, as follows:
5 That the Report of the Street Superintendent of' said City
6 of Seal Beaoh, be oonfirmed, as presented and filed, and that the
7 oost ot abating suoh nuisanoes in front of', or upon eaoh separate
8 lot or paroel of' land, be charged against the property upon whioh
9 suoh nUisanoe has been abated for the cost of abating the same,
10 and that said amount be added to the respeotive assessments and
11 taxes levied against said. respeotive lots and paroels of land for
12 munioipal purposes and be oollected at the same t1me and in the
13 same manner as ordinary munioipal taxes are oolleoted, and shaJ.l
14 be subJeot to the same penalt1es and the same prooedure under
15 f'oreolosure in oase of delinqueno7, as provided for ordinary
16 munioipal taxes.
