A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF S"EAL BEACH, CALIFORNIA, AY1ARDING THE CONTRACT FOR 'rHE ACQ,UISITION, CON- STRUCTION AND COMPLETION OF A WATERWORKS SYSTEM IN SAID CITY TO THE LOi/EST R:i!SPONSIBLE BIDDER THEREON, H.A.TIDET, CONTRACTOR, REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ElCl1CUTE A CONTRACT FOR A:ND Ol~ BEHALF OF SAID CITY FOR SUCH WORK, BEING P.W.A.PROJECT NO.1138(CALIF.) WHEREAS,"NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS" was published fDr three sucoessive weeks;towit:January 2nd,9th and 16th,1936,respeo!iively, in the "Seal Beach Post a: Wave", a newspaper of' general circulation printed and published weekly in the City of' Seal Beach,County of Orange, State of' Calif'ornia, that tho City Clork of' said City of Seal Beach, will reoeive bids for furnishing all labor, material,trsnsportation, and services for the construction of' alterations and additions to the Watervlorks S~stem located on streets, alleys,rights of' ways and property in said City; each bid to be in accordance with plans and speoifications on f'ile with the City Clerk of' said City;each bid to be sealed and f'iled with the City Clerk on or bef'ore January 17th, 1936,at 8:00 o'clock P.M.,and to be opened in publio at or about 8:00 o'olook P.m.,of that day in the Council Chamber of the City Hall of' said City; and, WHEREAS, oertain suoh bids were reoeived,filed and publicly opened at the aforesaid appointed time and plaoe, as f'ollows;towit: 1.Hoagland Engineering Construction Co. 502-504 First National Bank BUild1ng,tong Beach,Calif'. 2.W.E.Allen,745 West 14th Street,Long Beach,Calif'. 3.J.C.Hickey,320 S.Palm Avenuo,Alhambra, California. 4.H.A.Teget,1629 Seal Way,Seal Beach,California. 5.tlarco Matick,1269 Colorado Blvd.,Ontario,Calif'.; and, VffiEREAS, such bids were duly ref'erred with tabulations thereof to the State Engineer,P.W.A.,Los Angeles,for ohecking with the recommenda- tion bhat the work of' the above designated Projeot,being Dooket No. l138(Calif.)PWA.,be awarded to H.A.Teget,Contractor,the lowest respon- . sible bidder, with certain eliminations as more parijcularly setf'orth in Resolution No.27m duly adopted by this City Counoil on the 18th day of January,1936,and, provi44d further that, \VHEREAS,the said State Engineer's Of'f'ice,PWA.,Los Angeles, has authorized the execution of' the contract f'or such wobk with said H.A. Teget,contractor,1629 Seal Way,Seal Beach,California,in the amount of' \i50,798.70; NOW; THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council 'of the City of Seal Beach, California; as follows: Section 1: That the bid of H.A.Teget,1629 Seal Way,Soal Beaoh, California, the lowest responsible bidder,as revised,be,and is hereby aocepted,and that all other bids be rejected and that the oertified or cashiers oheoks a o companying such other bids be returned. Section 2: That the Mayor of the City of' Seal Beaoh,Calif'ornia, be, and ho is hereby authorized and direoted f'or and on behalf of' said OitYl and not individually or otherwise, to enter into a contract w~th said H.A.Toget,Contractor,in the amount of ,50,798.70 f'or f'drnishing all labor,material,transporation and servioes f'or the construction of' alter. ations and sdditions to the ilaterworks System in said City of' Seal Beaol California,in aocordance with tho plans and specif'ications on f'ile therl for with said City.
