Home My WebLink AboutCC Res 290 1936-06-23 I I I, ~ . . ~ . i RESOLUTION NO.~ A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ,SEAL BEACH, CALIFORNIA, TRAI~SFERING FROM THE WATER FUND TO THE WATERWORKS CONSTRUCTION FOND THE SUM OF ~3,000 FOR THE PURPOSE OF DRILLING AN EltTRA wm.L IN LIID OF WELL ABA1f.DONED,ACCEPTING THE BID OF HU.TEGm,CONTRACTOR,FOll SUCH PROJEC'lI,I'WA DOCKET NO..1l38-R-CALIF. ,SUBJ1!DT TO THE APPROVAL OF STATE DIRllXlTOR.PWA. ,AT LOS ANGEJ:.EB,AND RE- PEALING REBOLUTION NO.28B. , The City Council of the City pf Seal Beaah, California, resolves;, as'foliows: ' WHER~S, the first water well drilled under Public Worke Adminis- tration Projeot,Dooket No.1136-R-Calif.,has not shown a test of suffioient quantity and quality of water in aocordance with PWA requirements prior to other construction work upon said project and in accordanoe with the report of Viotor W.Hlyes,Consulting Engineer, under dste of JUne 8th, 1936; and, WHEREAS, the City desires to drill another water well at a dif- ferent location rather than to abandpn said Projeot and deeiree to inorease item "0': "l1[onetruotion Cost"from '50,798.70 to '53,796.70 by a transfer of tax monies levied for oontlngenoies on said project from the Water FUnd to the Waterworks Conetruct10n Fund in ordoi7 to pay the cost of drilling said additional well;the dri~ling ot which additio..l well has been recommended by said Coneulting Engineer, been approved by the G&vernment Resident Engineer Inepector,and bide for the conetruotion there&f have been reoeived from R.A.Teget,Con- 'tract~r for said Project,whose equipment is stdl on the site, and NOW."THEREFORE, the City Council does hereby resolve; as follows: Section 1: That the City Treasurer, be, and he is hereby authorized and direoted to tranfer from the Water Fund and to deposit in the Waterworks Construotion Fund the sum of Three Thousand Dollars(,300Q,) to pay the ooste of construotion of drilling an additional water well to a depth of not to exceed five hundred teet(5001 )in l'1eu of a well abandoned for lack ot sufficient quantity and quality of water,under Public'Works Adminietration Project,Docket No.1136-R-Calif.,and whioh tranefer of funds will increase the Bodget itemta.Construction Coet from ~50,796.70 to ~53,798.70 and provide sufficient monies in said fund to pay all coosts of construotion including suoh extra well.
