RESOLUTION OF THE OITY OO~rOIL OF THE OITY OF
SEAL BEAOH, OALIFOBlIIAL PROVIDING FOR THE SALE
OF LOT 17, BLOCK 20S 0>>' STANTON AND LOTHIAN'S
FIRST ADDITION TO BAY OITY IN SAID CITY TO
T1HIOH TITLE HAS BEEN AOQUIRED BY DEED FROM THE
OOUNTY T~~ OOLLEOTOR OF THE OOUNTY OF ORANGE,
STATE OF CALIFOR~IA.
The City Oouncil of the City of Seal Beach, California,
does hereby resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, said lot has been aoquired by said city, by
deed from the County Tax Oolleotor of the Oounty of Orange,
State of California, in such oases made ann provided for by
law; and

WHEREAS, the Oity of Seal Beach has no use for said
property or any part thereof for public purposes, and it is the
opinion of the Oity Counoil that it is for the benefit and best
interests of said oity that the said property should be sold
and oonveyed into private ownership in order that the same may
again be placed upon the tax rolls of the Oity of Seal Beach
and the Oounty of Orange; and

WHEREAS, it is impraotioal for the City of Seal Beaoh
to initiate steps to obtain a olear title to said property
prior to one year from the date of the Tax Collectors deed,
and that, following the final oompletion of title in the City,
they ''1ill be faoed with the diffioul t task of finding a buyer
willing to purchase said property; and
WHEREAS, an offer of One Hundred and Seventy-five
($175.00) Dollars has been made for the purchaee of the city's
rights, title and interest in said lot by a private individual
and as part consideration of the aooeptanoe of suoh offer, the
said buyer agrees to purchase a deed from the former owner and
to buy and pay for the new guarantee of title, and

NOW, THEREFORE, the G1ty Gounail of the Oity of Seal
Beach does hereby deolare that it intends to and will at the
regular,meeting of said Oounoil, to be held on the 20th day of
February, 1941, sell said property at the price and under the
conditions as set forth above, to the parties who have offsred
in writing to purchase the same at said price, unless at said

meeting, the City Council shall receive a bid for said property
at least ten per cent (10%) in excess of said bid of One Hundred
and Seventy-five ($175.00) Dollars, in whioh event said property
will be sold to the highest bidder for oash at said meeting,
and the Mayor and Oity Oler~ will thereupon be direoted to make,
execute ann deliver a deed, covering the Oity)s rights, title
and interest. to said property, to the highest bidder upon the
receipt of the amount of said bid.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Oity Oouncil of the Oity of
Seal Beach. Oalifornia, at a regular meeting held on the _ ~~
