RESOLVED. THEREFORE: 12 13 14 1li 16 . That the Board of Truatees of the City of Seal 17 Beaoh do hereby deolare all weeds growing upon the streets or 18 sidewalks in front of or upon the private property upon the 19 following streets wi thin the City of Seal Beach. to be a publio 20 nuisance. That said notioes shall be posted at least five days prior to the time for hea.:ting objections by the said Board .' ... .. of Trustees of the City of Seal Beaoh. That Thu:r:sday, th~ ~tl!... dayof May. 1921, at the hour of eight o'olock P. M. of ea:1d day is the day and hour. and the Council Chamber in tbe City Hall of the City of Seal Beaoh, is the place fixed by ths Board of Trustees. wnenand where any and all persons having any objeotions to tbe proposed removal of weeds may appear before. the Boa.:r:6 of Trustees and show oause why said work should not be oarried out in aocordanoe with this resolution. That theproceedings for the aforesaid improvement shall be had: and taken under and in aocordanoe wi tb an act of legislature of the State of California, designated and known as "An Act Authorizing Municipalities to Declare Noxious or Dangerous Weeds Growing upon the Streets or Sidewalks or upon Private Property within Municipalities to be a Publio Nuisanoe. Creating a Lien upon the Property Fronting upon suoh Streets or Sidewalks or upcn whioh said Nuisance. Exists fcr the Cost of Abating the Same. n approved May 26, 1915. . Resolution Numb~ 1 said nuisance by having the weeds referred to removed in the manner as provided by law, and the cost thereof shall be a lien upon the prope:r:ty fronting upon such streets or sidewalks or 2 3 4 upon which suoh nuisance exists for the cost of abating the same, 5 which amounts shall be added to the respective assessments for 6 taxes levied against the respective lots and parcels of land for 7 municipal purposes and collected at the same time and in the same 8 manner as ordinary municipal taxes are collected, and shall be o subject to the same penalties and the same procedure under 10 foreclosure in case of delinquenoy as provided for ordinary 11 municipal taxea. 12 . 13 u I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and a.dopted by the Board of Trusteee of the City of Seal Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 1st day of April, 1926, by the following vote. 111 1U 17 18 Ayes.
