That the Street Superintendent of the City of Seal Beach shall ca~se to be conspicuously posted in front of the property on which or in front of which such nuissnoe exists at not more than 100 feet in distance apart, but not less than three in all, notices headed "NOTIGE 'fO DES2.'ROY WEEDSII, such heading to be in words not less than one inch in height and substantially in the form prescribed by law. That said notioes shall be posted at least five dsys prior to the time for hearing objections by the said Trustees snd City Council of thp. City of Sesl !Sesch. That Thursday the l7th day of May, 1928, at the hour of eight o'clock P.M., of said day, is the day and hour, and the Coun- y cil Chamber in the City Hall of the City of Seal Beach, is the place fixed by the Trustees, when and where any and all persons having any objections to the-proposed removal of weeds may appear before the Trustees and City Council and show cause Why said work .should not be carried out in accordanoe with thXa v resolution. That the proceedings for the aforesaid improvement shall be had and taken under an~ in accordanoe with an act of legislature of the State of California, designated and known as "An Act Authorizing Municipalities to Declare Noxious or Dangerous Weeds Goowing upon the Streets or Sidewalks or upo~ Private Property within Municipalities to be a Public Nuisance, Creating a Lien upon the Property Fronting upon such Streets 5. , " Resolution Number -.' ,.. That subsequent to the said hearing the smd Trus- tees and City Council shall order the Street Superintendent to abate said nuisance by having the weeds referred to removed in the manner as provided by low, and the oost thereof shall be a lien upon the property fronting upon suoh streets or sidewalks or upon which such nuisanoe exists for the cost of abating the same, which amounts shall be added to the respective assessments for taxes levied against the respective lots and p~oels of land for municipal purposes and oollected at the same time and in the same manner as ordinary municipal taxes are collected and v-' shall be subject to the same penalties and the s~me procedure under foreclosure in case of delinquency as provided for or- dinary munioipal taxes. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Resolution by the Trustees and pity Counoil of the City of Seal Beach, and shall cause this Resolution to be posted in at least three (3) public places, to wit: the City Hall BUilding, the United states Bost Office, and the California State Bank, in said City of Seal Beaoh, and it shall thereupon ;take effeot.
