RESOLUTION NO. -5~
A Resolution of the Board of Truetees of the City of
seal Beach, declarinG their intention to order the improvement
of Eleventh street from Ocean Avenue to Electric Avenue in the
a~y of Seal Beach.
RESOLVED:

Section 1. That it is the intention of the Board of Trustees of
the City of Seal Beach to order the following work to be done and
improvements made in said City, to-wit:
That the roadway of
ELEVENTH S'l'REET
from the northeasterly line of Ocean Avenue to the Southwesterly
line of Eleotric Aven~ inoluding all intereeotions of streets
and alleys, be graded and. paved with a bituminous base and asphalt
concrete wee-:ring surface.
2nd, That a cement cu:rb be constructed along the north-
weste:rly and southeasterly curb lines of Eleventh Street at the
locations shown on the plans therefore.

Section 2. That all the aforesaid work shall be done to the of-
ficial grade and in accordance with plan and profile numbe:red
A-3-48, on file in the office of the Cit)' Engineer, and in further
accordance with ftSpecifications No.4 for the Construction of
Pavements, Curbs, Sidewalks and gutters in the City of Seal Beach"
on file in the office of the City Clerk. Said plan and profile
and speoifications are hereby referred to for a more particular
description of said work and are made a part hereof.
Section 3. And whereas said contemplated work and improvement
is, in the opinion of said Board of Trustees, of more than local
or ord1nary public benefit, said Board hereby makes the costs and
expenees of said work or improvements chargeable upon a district
which district said Board hereby' declares to be the district '
benefited by said work and improvements, and to be assessed to
pay the costs and expenses thereof; which district is bounded
and described as .fOllows:
All that portion of the City of Seal Beach included with-
in the followinj described exterior boundary line, to-v/it:
Beginning at the most northerly corner of Lot 21 Block 110
Bay City, a subdivision, as shown on a map recorded in Uiscel1an-
eous Map Book No.3, page 19, Records of orange County; thence
southeasterly in a direct line to the most easterly corner of Lot
16 Block 111, said subdivision; thence southwesterly 1n a direct
line to the most southerly corner of Lot 12, Block 11, said sub-
division; thence westerly in a direct lint to the moet easterly
corner of Lot 1, said-last mentioned block; thence southwesterly
in a direct line to the most southerly corner of said last men-
tioned lot; ,thence northwesterly in a direct line to the most
westerly corner of Lot 10, Blook 10" said subdiVision; thence
northeasterly in a dirsot line to the most northerly corner of
said last mentioned lot; thence northwesterly in a direct line to

the most westerly corner of Lot 11, said last mentioned Block;
thence northeasterly in a direot line to the point of beginning;
all as shown upon Map No. A-3-47 ar,.proved by the Board of Trustees
on the 3rd day of November, 1921, and on file in the office of
the City Clerk, to which said map reference is hereby made for a
more complete and detailed description of said district, except~
ing from said district any portion of any street or alley which
may be included therein.
Seotion 4. It is hereby determined and notice is hereby given
that serial bonds to represent unpaid assessments, and bearing
interest at the rate of seven per cent per annum, shall be issued
hereunder in the manner provided by the "Improvement Fond Act of
19168, the last installment of which bonds shall mature fourteen
years from the~ec ay of July next suoceeding nine months
from their date ~ i4a

where any and all persons having any objeotions to the proposed
work or improvements may appear before the Board of Trustees and
show.:cause why said proposed improvement should not be carried
out in accordance with this resolution.

Section 6. rhat the proceedings for the aforesaid improvement
shall be had and taken under and in accordanoe with an act of the
Legislature of the State of California designated and known as
the 8Improvement Act of 1911n , : approved April 7, 1911, and
amendments thereto, except as hereinbefore noted.
Section 7. The Superintendent of Streets shall cause to be con-
spicuously posted along the line of said contemplated work of
improvement and along all the open streets within the district
liable to be assessed, notice of the passage of thts resolution
in the manner and in the form required by law.
Section 8. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
resolution and shall cause the same to be published tw.ice in the
Beal Beach rost, a weekly newspaper published and circulated in
the City of seal Beach and hereby designated for that purpose by
the Board of Trustees, there being no daily newspaper published
in said City.
I hereby certifY that the foregoing ~esolution of Inten-
tion was duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Board
of Trustees of the City of seal Beach~a-regulat meeting of
