MINUTES OF PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING OF JANUARY 27, 1965 The Seal Beach Planning Commission met in regular adjourned session on Wednesday, January 27, 1965, in the Council Chamber at City Hall. Present: Ray Boeger, Tom Crowley, Sutter Kunkel and Secretary John Stratford Absent: Ed Twining The meeting was called to order at 7:45 P.M. by Chairman Boeger. I. Public Hearing - Zoning of Annexation No. 64-1 A zoning map showing requested zoning for the area known as Seal Beach Annexation No. 64-1 was presented. The Commission felt the proposed uses to be excellent and compatible with existing neighboring land uses. No protests, written or oral, were received. Dr. Kunkel moved that the commission adopt Resolution No. 13 recommending that the City Council adopt the zoning map titled "Zoning Map for Annexation No. 64-1". Mr. Crowley seconded the motion and it passed unanimously by the members present. II. Street Names for Tract No. 5847 S & S Construction Co., developer of Tract No. 5847, presented tentative street names for approval in Tract No.5847. The commission was advised the subdivision would be known as "College Estates East" and the suggested street names are in accordance with that theme by using names of colleges and universities. None of the names were in conflict with similar street names in the city or surrounding area. Mr. Crowley moved that the street names presented be approved. Dr. Kunkel seconded the motion and it passed unanimously by the members present. III. Mr. Stratford advised the Commission they are invited to an early dinner at 6:00 P.M. on February 4th with representatives from Design Associates. The dinner will be held at the 101 Ranch House. IV. In reply to a request received at the last meeting, Mr. Crowley moved that the Planning Commission, in their opinion, does not feel that home occupations should be established in the R-l Zone. Motion seconded by Dr. Kunkel and passed unanimously by the members present. There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:30 P.M. ~ [~~- Lois Arnold Recording Secretary
