MINUTES OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING OF OCTOBER 6, 1965 The Seal Beach Planning Commission met in regular session on Wednesday, October 6, 1965, in the Council Chambers of the City Hall. Present: Absent: Ray Boeger, Thomas Crowley, Ed Twining Dr. Sutter Kunkel, Mrs. Merva Lanning The meeting was called to order at 7:45 p.m. by Chairman Ray Boeger. The minutes of the meeting of September 15, 1965, were approved as presented. I. Use Variance - Laurette Atkinson (Application U. V. 1 - 65) Since Mrs. Atkinson was not present and had not sent a representative to the meeting, the consideration of this application was postponed until the meeting of October 20, 1965. II. Plan Review - Wooden Shoe Restaurant, Seal Beach Center (Application P.R. 12 - 65) . Approval was requested for the final plans for the proposed restaurant in the Seal Beach Center. It was determined that these plans were acceptable as pre- sented. Mr. Crowley moved that the Commission approve the application. Mr. Twining seconded the motion and it was passed unanimously. Resolution No. 45. III. Plan Rev1ew - Sign for the Seal Beach Car Wash, Inc. (Application P.R. 13 - 65) Approval was requested for the plans for the main identification sign for the car wash in the Seal Beach Center. It was noted that the plan was acceptable with the exception of the degree of overhang over the public sidewalk. Mr. Twining moved the approval of the application with the condition that the sign installation conform to all requirements of the City Sign Code. Mr. Crowley seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. Resolution No. 46. IV. Plan Review - Sign for Seal Beach Center (Application P.R. 14 - 65) Approval was requested for the plans for the main identification sign for the Seal Beach Center. Mr. Twining moved the approval of the application with the cond1tion that the sign installation conform to all requirements of the City Sign Code. Mr. Crowley seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. Resolution No. 47. As there was no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:35 p.m. . ---- ~ ~ Secretary
