MINUTES OF PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING OF JUNE 16, 1965 The Seal Beach Plann1ng Commiss10n met 1n regular seSS10n on Wednesday, June 16, 1965, 1n the Counc1l Chamber at C1ty Hall. Present. Absent: Ray Boeger, Tom Crowley, Sutter Kunkel and Henry Steddom Ed TW1ning The meeting was called to order at 7:35 P.M. by Chairman Boeger. The m1nutes of the meetings held on May 19, 1965 and June 2, 1965 were approved as presented. I. Pub11c Hear1ng - James W. Dunn, Sideyard Setback Var1ance Var1ance appl1cat10n from James W. Dunn, 1700 S. 2nd St., Arcadia, Ca11f., request1ng a reduct10n of 6 1nches in the s1deyard setback on the 12th St. s1de of the property descr1bed as Lots 1 & 2, Block 12, Bay C1ty Tract. Mr. L. L. Buck, 3710 Myrtle Ave., Long Beach, subm1ttcd the applicat10n (V-9-65) as the author1zed agent of the owner. Mr. Ward, as agent for Mr. D. K. Lance, protested that Mr. Dunn was not the legal owner of the property. A wr1tten commun1cat10n was rece1ved from Flor1nda J. Blanchard protesting allowance of any changes. Mr. Buck advised that the property was 1n escrow and would clear early 1n July. He also stated that the reason for request1ng the reduction of 6" 1n the setback was to enable them to bU11d 4 standard garages across the rear of the property. A general d1~cuss10n followed. Dr. Kunkel moved that the var1ance be granted on the cond1t10ns that Mr. Dunn 1S the legal owner at the close of escrow and that construct10n 1S begun w1th1n S1X months of th1s date. The mot10n was seconded by Mr. Steddom and passed unan1mously by the members present. There be1ng no further bus1ness, the meet1ng was adJourned at 8:04 P.M. ""-.J ~~O~~ ---...)
