MINUTES OF PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING OF OCTOBER 5, 1966 The Seal Beach Planning Commission met 1n regular session on Wednesday, October 5, 1966 1n the Council Chamber at City Hall. Present. Absent: Boeger, Crowley, Jones, Lanning Murphy The meeting was called to order by Chairman Boeger at 7:40 P.M. Minutes of the meetings of September 7 and September 21, 1966 were approved as presented. I. Public Hearing - Margaret Hoxeng, V-11-66 Margaret A. Hoxeng, 223 Bay Blvd., Seal Beach, requested a Variance from off- street parking requirements in C-l Zone. Existing building to be enlarged uith no additional parking to be provided. No written or oral protests were received. The Commiss10n decided that parking for this use (glass shop) and 1n th1s area is not a problem. Mr. Jones moved that the request be granted. Seconded by Mrs. Lanning and passed unanimously by the members present. Resolution No. 87 . II. Mr. Fremont Wood made an informal request to the commission to determine their pleasure on method of approach to receive permanent permission to convert the upper floors (above f1rst floor) of the Graham Executive Build1ng to apartments (114 Main St.). Mr. Wood is in escrow on the purchase of this property, with one of the conditions being city approval of permanent conversion to apartments. Mr. Wood was 1nformed that the proper approach would be to file a request for a Conditional Use Hermit. He stated that he would do so in time for the next regular meeting. III. A letter was presented from Northa American Aviation indicating the1r desire to establish a heliport at their new site. The secretary was instructed to inform the company that the proper procedure would be to f1le for a Condit10na1 Use Permit. No further bus1ness, the meeting adjourned at 8:30 P.M. .
