MINUTES OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING OF FEBRUARY 16, 1967 The Seal Beach Planning Commission met in regular session on Thursday, February 16, 1967, in the Council Chamber at City Hall. Present: Absent: Boeger, Crowley, Lanning " 'Mu17phy Jones The meeting was called to order by Cha1rman Boeger at 7:45 P.M. Minutes of the meeting held on February 2, 1967 were approved as presented. I. Public Hearing - Dexter Savage, V-2-67 Dexter Savage, 920 Fathom Ave., Seal Beach, requested a variance to remodel an existing side-entry garage to a front-entry garage which would have a ten foot front setback. Legal description of the property is Lot 360, Tract 1817. In discussion, it was pointed out that automobiles parked on the driveway would obstruct the public sidewalk and possibly protrude into the public street. All similar cases have been denied. Mr. Crowley moved to deny the application. Seconded by Mrs. Lanning and passed unanimously by the members present. Resolution No. 112. II. Plan Review - Colin Cra1g, PR-l-67 . Colin Craig, 140 Pomona Ave., Long Beach, presented plans for a complex of commercial use areas in a new building at the southwest corner of Fifth Street and Marina Drive. Off-street parking and loading facilities satisfy the requirements of the ordinance. Mr. Murphy moved to approve the plans as presented. Seconded by Mrs. Lanning and passed unanimously by the members present. Resolution No. 113 III. Other Business A revised resolution of action taken in pre-zoning Annexation 66-1 was presented at the request of the property owners. The resolution is the same as Resolution No. 107 with wording revised. Mrs. Lanning moved to approve the revised resolution. Seconded by Mr. Crowley and passed unanimously by the members present. Resolution No. 114. No further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:50 P.M. ~~--- Recording Secretary .
