January 2, 1914, in the Council Chambe~ of the City Administration Building. The meetlng was called to order by Chairman Knapp at 1:30 p.m. and he led the Pledge to the Flag. Present: Cook, Knapp, Ripperdan Absent: Hammond, Lanning Mrs. Hammond and Mrs. lannfngOs absences were excusedo The minutes of December 5. 1973 meeting were approved as presented. 1. Public Hearlngs A. George Pearson, UV-2-73 Applicant proposed a structural additlon, attendant8$ booth, at a nonconforming service statlon to convert the operation to self serVlce at 1300 Pacific Coast Highway. Hearlng open. Mro Pearson advlsed that three gas pumps and the propane facillty would be removed and the garage closed. The origlnal proposal to have traffic eXlt through the alley had been changed. He also advised that he planned to install a planter across the front of the building and repaint. One letter received from Nina Bemmis opposing increased traffic in the alley or lOC&tlng the building where it would obstruct vision at the intersection of the alley and Paciflc Coast Highway. Mro Antos distributed addendum materlal to the agenda for the JOlnt study session with the City Councl1 and Parks and Recreation Commisslon scheduled for January 79 19740 He also advised that the Tentative Map for the Tract proposed by the Blxby Ranch Coo would be on the next regular agenda. Mro Ripperdan asked for details regarding the new State disclosure law. Staff to investigate and reporto Mro Knapp commented again about the atrlum designed homes on Marina Hill and asked other members to consider some type of reliefe Mro Cock expressed concern about possible cut through of 8th and 10th Streets at the P.Eo right of way feel1ng it should have been considered with the Circulation Element.
