MTIroTES OF PLAmTnTG COmUS3ION 1.'fEETING OF IfOViMBER 18, 1964
The Seal Beach Planning Co~ssion met in regular session on
lvednesday, Nove:mber 18, 1964, in the Conncil Chamber at City Hall.
Present: Rudy Avila, Ray Boozer, Tom Crowley, .3uttor Kunkel,
and Secretary John Stratford
Absent: Ed ~~ining
The meeting was called to order at 7:35 P.M. bf Cha~an BoeBer.
The minutes of the meeting of October 21, 196~. were approved as
presented.
I. ;~s. Erickson - Ho~ Occupation
~~s. Erickson, 117 4th St., requested the Commission to meke a
determination of uhether t~e proposed beauty shop at the above
audress qualified as a homo occupation.
After considerable discussion, regarding typo of equipmen'J;, etc.,
1-1r. Cronley moved and l'ir. Avila seconded that the use be
deter.mined as a home occupation. Hotion passed unanimously by
the Dlembers present.
II. Plan Approval - Stan Miller

Stan Miller, 909 Electric, requested p~an approval for the
enlaraement of a boat shop operation, i. e. second story addition.
Parking ::>rovisions "lere checked and found to be acceptable. The.
~lans were appro~ed unanimously by the members present and forwarded
to the Building Department.
III. Resolution No. 8 - Approval of tentative map for Tract 5723
I~ter a 8rect deal of discussion and a yresentation by the City
Engineer and Director of Public Works of their recommendations,
Resolution No. 8 approving the tentative map for Tract 5723 was
passed unanimously by the members present.
IV. Resolution No. 9 - Approval of tentative map for Tract 5699
After a discussion and a presentation by the City Engineer aDd
Director of Public Works of their recommendations, nesolution No.
9 approving the tentative map for Tract 5699 was passed unanimously
by the members present.
V. Secretary was directed to set a public hearing for the next
regular meeting regardlna n proposod amendment to the zoning
ordinance to add Zone R-G (Recreational-Golfing Zone).
