MINUTES OF PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING OF NOVEMBER 2, 1966 The Seal Beach Planning Commission met in regular session on Wednesday, November 2, 1966, in the Council ,Chamber at City Hall. Present: Absent: Boeger, Crowley, Jones, Murphy Lanning The meeting was called to order by Chairman Boeger at 7:30 P.M. Minutes of the meeting of'October 19, 1966 were approved as presented. Mrs. Lanning's absence was due to illness. I. Letters of Communications A. Thomas Wilson - Zone interpretation for fishing tackle store Mr. Thomas Wilson requested an interpretation of zone for the location of a fishing tackle store which would carry frozen bait. A discussion followed. It was felt that this type of business would conform to the C-2 Zone. No offensive odors~ preparation of bait or tank bait would be allowed., . Mr. Jon~s moved that a fishing tackle store meeting the above requirements be interpreted as an,'allowable use in the C-2 Zone. Seconded by Mr. Crowley and passed unanimously by the members present. Resolution NO. 93. B. Lee Risner - Proposed amendment to ordinance. Mr. Risner submitted a proposed amendment to the zoning ordinance establishing controls on fraternity and sorority houses. The Commission instructed the Secretary to set a public hearing for the next regular meeting. II. Other Business Mr. Stratford advised the commission of invitations to join two organizations - California Tomorrow and International Municipal Parking Congress. By general consent, he was instructed to apply for membership in both organizations. No further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:03 P.M. .
