RESOLUTION NUMBER 1413 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL APPROVAL OF ZONING TEXT AMENDMENT 5-86, A REQUEST TO AMEND THE MUNICIPAL CODE TO ESTABLISH NEW REGULATIONS FOR THE RECONSTRUCTION OF NONCONFORMING BUILDINGS PARTIALLY DESTROYED THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH DOES HEREBY RESOLVE: WHEREAS, in October, 1986 the City Council directed staff to study section 28-2406 of the Code of the City of Seal Beach, California, also known as the City's disaster clause, for possible revision; and WHEREAS, a draft ordinance has been prepared which amends the zoning regulations for the reconstruction of nonconforming buildings partially destroyed; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held duly noticed public hearings on August 5, 1981; August 19, 1981; and August 25, 1981; and WHEREAS, Zoning Text Amendment 5-86 will not adversely affect the General Plan as it will not allow any intensification of nonconforming uses; and WHEREAS, Zoning Text Amendment 5-86 will not cause any adverse environmental impact as stated in Negative Declaration 10-86, and therefore the Planning Commission recommends this Negative Declaration to the City Council; and WHEREAS, Zoning Text Amendment 5-86 will promote the health and welfare of the community. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of the City of Seal Beach does hereby approve and recommend to the City Council Zoning Text Amendment 5-86. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the Planning Commission of the City of Seal Beach at a meeting thereof held in the 16th day of September, 1981 by the following vote: AYES: ( Commissioners .-~t1f-~I~ I P~~r-~-~ Commissioners __Ilo.l:$..()_ .
