HomeMy WebLinkAboutPC Res 1470 - 1987-09-02 ~ . e RESOLUTION NUMBER 1470 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL ADOPTION OF GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT 2a-87, A REQUEST TO CHANGE THE GENERAL PLAN LAND USE DESIGNATION FOR THE PROPERTY AT 345 10TH STREET FROM GENERAL COMMERCIAL TO HIGH DENSITY RESIDENTIAL THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH DOES HEREBY RESOLVE: WHEREAS, on July 15. 1987, John Tschudin submitted an application for General Plan Amendment 2a-87 to the Department of Development Services; and WHEREAS, the applicant is requesting an amendment to the General Plan Land use designation for the property located at 345 10th Street from General Commercial to High Density Residential; and WHEREAS, the subject property is described as Lot 45, Block 209, Bay View Tract in the City of Seal Beach, County of Orange as per map recorded in Book 8, Page 10 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, State of California; and WHEREAS, the subject property measures 25 feet by 117.5 feet, and is located 75 feet south of Pacific Coast Highway (see Exhibit A, attached); and WHEREAS, the General Plan land use designations for the properties surrounding the lot for which GPA 2a-87 is requested are as follows: North and West: General Commercial South and East: High Density Residential; and WHEREAS, the amendment requested under GPA 2a-87 is compatible with the land use designations for the surrounding properties; and WHEREAS, General Plan Amendment 2a-87 will not cause any adverse environmental impact, as shown in the initial study for Negative Declaration -87, and the Planning Commission therefore recommends the adoption of this Negative Declaration to the City Council; and WHEREAS, General Plan Amendment 2a-87 will not the health, safety and welfare of community. adversely impact the surrounding NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of the City of Seal Beach does hereby recommend to the City Council adoption of General Plan Amendment 2a-87, as shown in Exhibit A, attached. -=.. . .
