HomeMy WebLinkAboutPC Res 1321 - 1984-05-02 . , RESOLUTION NUMBER.1321 .A RESOLUTION OF THE SEAL BEACH PLANNING COMMISSION APPROVING AND RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL ADOPTION OF ZONING TEXT AMENDMENT ZTA 1-84 PERMITTING MINOR HEIGHT VARIATIONS OF NON-HABITABLE ARCHITECTURAL FEATURES TO A MAXIMUM OF SEVE~~7) FEET BY PLANNING COMMISSION APPROVAL. IN ADDITION TO ESTABLISHING SPECIFIC LIMITATIONS TO BUILDING HEIGHT LIMIT EXCEPTIONS. THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH HEREBY RESOLVES: WHEREAS, existing zoning regulations do not permit minor height variations for non-habitable architectural features; and WHEREAS, existing wording of the zoning regulations are not specifically clear; and WHEREAS, it is in the City's best interest to consider minor height variations of non-habitable architectural features so to facilitate high quality architectural designs; and WHEREAS, this amendment will not cause any significant environmental impacts as outlineq by Negative Declaration 4-84; and WHEREAS, all property owners within 300 feet of any application within the scope of this amendment will be notified of any application and public hearing held; and WHEREAS, only after specific findings are made by the Planning Commission may a minor height variation permit be approved; and WHEREAS, the proposal is in conformance with the General Plan; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission does hereby approve and recommend to City Council Zoning Text Amendment ZTA 1-84. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the Planning Commission of the City of Seal Beach at a meeting thereof held on the 2nd day of Mav , 1984 by the following vote: AYES: NOES: ABSENT: Commissioners Covington, Goldenberg, Hunt, Jessner, Perrin Commissioners None Commissioners None
