A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
SEAL BEACH PLANNING COMMISSION APPROVING CONDITIONAL USE
PERMIT 10-85, A REQUEST TO PERMIT OFF-SALE BEER, WINE AND
DISTILLED SPIRITS IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE CHANGE OF OWNERSHIP
OF AN EXISTING LIQUOR STORE (462 PACIFIC COAST HIGHWAY).
THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH DOES HEREBY RESOLVE:

an application was duly filed by West Beach Liquor
(462 Pacific Coast Highway); and
the property is an irregularly shaped parcel of
land containing approximately 33, 318 sq. ft. located
225 + ft. southwest of the centerline of Fifth
Street (462 Pacific Coast Highway); and
the property is described as that certain parcel
of land in the City of Seal Beach, Orange County, California:
the South half portion of Section 11, Township 5, Range 12,
as recorded by the County Recorder of the County of Orange,
California; and
the property has approximately 218 feet of frontage
on Pacific Coast Highway and a depth varying from
26 ft. to 170 ft.; and
the property contains several retail-commercial
buildings of which West Beach Liquor is a part;
and
on December 2, 1981, CUP 6-81 was granted to the
owner/operator of West Beach Liquor (462 Pacific
Coast Highway); and
on January 9, 1985, the new owner received an alcoholic
beverage license from the Alcoholic Beverage Control
Board; and
the applicant is specifically requesting CUP 10-
85 in order to permit the continuing operation
of an existing liquor store which has changed ownership;
and
CUP's are non-transferable. The ownership of the
establishment has changed, thereby requiring review
of the operation by the Planning Commission and
approval of a CUP; and
on June 19, 1985, the Planning Commission held
a public hearing on CUP 10-85.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission does
hereby approve CUP 10-85 subject to the following conditions:
1. CUP is approved for off-sale beer, wine and distilled spirits
at 462 Pacific Coast Highway (West Beach Liquor).
2. That all alcoholic beverages shall be consumed entirely
off the premises.
3. That the applicant shall comply with all restrictions placed
on his license by the State Department of Alcoholic Beverage
Control
4. CUP issued is non-transferable.
5. There shall be no alcoholic advertising display devices
located in the window area.
6. CUP is to be reviewed by staff at the end of one year.
7. That a trash receptacle be provided by the applicant which
is acceptable to the Director of Development Services.

8. That a business license is acquired from the City by the applicant.
9. That the hours of operation are 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. as
requested by the applicant.
PASSED, APPORVED AND ADOPTED by the Planning Commission of the City of
Seal Beach at a meeting thereof held on the ~ day ofAugusb 1985,
by the following vote:
