RESOLUTION NUMBER 1403
A RESOLUTION OF THE SEAL BEACH PLANNING COMMISSION APPROVING
AND RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL ADOPTION OF ZONING TEXT
AMENDMENT 10-85 ESTABLISHING AN EXCEPTION TO THE INTERIOR SIDE
YARD REQUIREMENT FOR REVERSE CORNER LOTS WITHIN PLANNING DISTRICT

THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH DOES HEREBY RESOLVE:

interior side yards of R-2 and R-3 lots located within
Planning District I are currently regulated through Chapter
28, Article VII & VIII, Sections 28-701(2)(c) and 28-801(2)
of the Seal Beach Municipal Code; and
the aforementioned provisions result in an inequity between the
percentage of lot area required for yards of standard lots and
that of reverse corner lots; and
a total of twelve (12) reverse corner lots exist within Planning
District I; and
the Planning Commission determined that the interior side yard
setback for reverse corner lots within Planning District I should
not be based on a percentage of lot width, but should be estab-
lished at the three (3) feet minimum; and
Zoning Text Amendment 8-85 would not adversely effect the General
Plan; and
such amendment to the Municipal Code will not cause any signifi-
cant adverse environmental impacts as outlined by Negative
Declaration 12-85; and
on December 18, 1985, the Planning Commission held a duly noticed
public hearing on Zoning Text Amendment 10-85.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission does hereby approve
and recommend Zoning Text Amendment 10-85 to the City Council.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the Planning Commission of the City of Seal
Beach at a meeting thereof held on the 18th day of December , 1985,
by the following vote:
