RESOLUTION NUMBER 1407
A RESOLUTION OF THE SEAL BEACH PLANNING
COMMISSION APPROVING AND RECOMMENDING TO
THE CITY COUNCIL ADOPTION OF ZONING TEXT
AMENDMENT 8-85 REQUIRING A CONDITIONAL USE
PERMIT PRIOR TO THE ISSUANCE OF ENTERTAINMENT
PERMIT WITHIN C-1 AND C-2 ZONES
THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SEAL BACH HEREBY RESOLVES:
WHEREAS, entertainment permits are currently regulated through
Chapter 28, Article XIII, Section 28-1300(6) of the
Seal Beach Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, the provisions of this section do not adequately
provide for public hearings or public notices prior to
the issuance of all entertainment permits; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has determined that public
hearings and public notices should be required prior to
the issuance of all entertainment permits; and
WHEREAS, Zoning Text Amendment 8-85 would not adversely affect
the General Plan; and
WHEREAS, this amendment to the Municipal Code will not cause any
significant adverse environmental impact as outlined by
Negative Declaration 9-85; and
WHEREAS, on December 4, 1985, the Planning Commission held a
pUblic hearing on Zoning Text Amendment 8-85.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission does
hereby approve and recommend Zoning Text Amendment 8-85 to the
City Council.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the Planning Commission of the
City of Seal Beach at a meeting thereof held on the 5th day
of Februarv, 1985, by the following vote:
