located. Typically these facilities contain tennis, volleyball,
handball and basketball courts, picnic areas and sports fields
for seasonal sports such as baseball and football. Communi ty
parks generally range in size from approximately 5 to 30 acres.

1. Add new section: Wetlands Area
An area of approximately twenty (20) acres of tidal influenced
wetlands will be restored in the southwest corner of the Hellman
property. The size of the wetlands is based on a wetlands
assessment and restoration recommendation by the Department of
Fish and Game in 1980, updated in 1988. The project should
create a habitat for a wide variety of fauna, with supporting the
flora representative of a salt water wetlands. A fuller
description of the wetlands and some of its functions will be
described in the amended Hellman specific Plan.
