RESOLUTION NO. 1118
\
A RESOLUTION OF THE SEAL BEACH PLANNING COMMISSION
APPROVING CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT, CP-20-77 FOR A SECOND
FAST-FOOD RESTAURANT ON THE EDISON TRIANGLE.
WHEREAS, an application was duly filed ny James R. Watson, 101 Main
Street, Suite A, Seal Beach for CP-20-77; and
WHEREAS, the property is described as the 3.5 acres Edison triangle
site bounded by Pacific Coast Highway, Marina Drive and Fifth
Street; and
WHEREAS, the proposal is for a second drive-in restaurant on the site;
and
.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission makes the following findings regarding
the proposed use:
1) The restaurant represents a type of food service not
presently provided in the City.
2} The restaurant lis- family oriented.
3} The use is compatible with surrounding land uses.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission does hereby
approve CP-20-77 subject to the following conditions:
1) Approval of parcel map.
2) Conditional Use Permit subject to a change of zone
on the site from C-O to C-2.
3) Exhaust fans associated with cooking shall be faced away
from residential areas where feasible. Final determination
to be made by City Staff.
4) Approval is for Long aohn Silver's restaurant only, any
other fast-food restaurant must be reviewed and approved
by the Planning Commission.
PASSED AND APPROVED on December 21, 1977, by the following vote:
AYES: Lanning, KNapp, Ripperdan, Cook, Covington
