HomeMy WebLinkAboutPC Res 1127 - 1978-03-01 . . . ;j e e RESOLUTION NO. 1127 A RESOLUTION OF THE SEAL BEACH PLANNING COMMISSION APPROVING VARIANCE V-2-78 FOR CONSTRUCTION OF A SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE IN THE R-l ZONE OF SURFS IDE WITH LESS THAN THE REQUIRED FRONT YARD SETBACK. WHEREAS, an application was duly filed by Michael Kaplan, 16691 Sea Witch Lane, Huntington Beach, for variance, V-2-78; and WHEREAS, the property is described as Lot 81, Block A, Surfside Colony and is more commonly known as A-81 Surfside,; and WHEREAS, the proposal is to construct a single family residence with less than the required front yard setback; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission makes the following findings: 1. The applicant has improved the turning radius by a voluntary land exchange of seven (7) feet which widens Surfs ide Avenue. 2. Other adjacent property owners also have exchanged land which improves the street width in the area. 3. The intent of the Code is met by the larger turning radius. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Planning Commission does hereby approve V-2-78. PASSED AND APPROVED on March 1, 1978, by the following vote: AYES: Lanning, Knapp, Covington, Ripperdan NOES: None ABSENT: Cook g~ se~ ~~ ~~1SS1on
