RESOLUTION NO. 1134
A RESOLUTION OF THE SEAL BEACH PLANNING COMMISSION
APPROVING VARIANCE, V-6-78 FOR CONSTRUCTION OF
NOT MORE THAN FIVE GAZEBOS IN THE REAR AND SIDE
YARD SETBACKS.
WHEREAS, an application was duly filed by State-Wide Developers, Inc.,
5300 Orange Avenue, Cypress for V-6-78; and
WHEREAS, the property is described as Tracts 10077, 10078, 10079, 10080,
10081, 10082, 10083, and 10084 and is more commonly known as
12450-12592 Montecito Road; and
WHEREAS, the proposal is to construct not more than five gazebos in the
side and rear yard setbacks; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission makes the following finding regarding
the Variance:
1. The use will not adversely affect the General Plan because
the use is residential as shown in the General Plan.
2. The location of the property adjacent to a commercial parking
lot, prohibits any adverse effects to adjacent commercial
or residential structures.
3. Granting of the Variance would not constitute a grant of
special privilege because other adjacent residential
properties have been allowed Variances for structures in
required side and rear yard setbacks.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission does hereby
approve V-6-78.

AYES: Lanning, Ripperdan, Cook, Covington
NOES: None
