HomeMy WebLinkAboutPC Res 1135 - 1978-05-03 . . . e e . RESOLUTION NO. 1135 A RESOLUTION OF THE SEAL BEACH PLANNING COMMISSION APPROVING VARIANCE, V-7-78 FOR A CURB CUT OFF A STREET. WHEREAS, an application was duly filed by Richard Grossgold, 239 Seal Beach Blvd., for V-7-78; and' WHEREAS, the property is described as portions of Lots 42 & 44, Block 218, Tract 10 and is more commonly known as 244 17th Street; and WHEREAS, the proposal is to provide a curb cut off the street to serve a four car garage; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission makes the following findings regarding the application: 1. The proposal is consistent with the General Plan because the use is residential in a residential zone. 2. Special circumstances related to the property by a railroad easement in the rear does not permit parking to be provided off the alley. 3. Granting the Variance is not a grant of special privilege since another similar Variance was approved. Now,"'rHEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission does hereby approve V-7-78 subject to the following conditions: 1. Installation of automatic garage door openers. 2. Land Use Agreement requiring five commercial parking spaces to be maintained on. the remanent parcel for 239 Seal Beach Blvd. until such time as the five commercial spaces are provided on another site. PASSED AND APPROVED on May 3, 1978, by the following vote: AYES: Lanning, Ripperdan, Covington NOES: Cook ABSENT: Knapp Chairman of the Plan ng Commission
