HomeMy WebLinkAboutPC Res 1150 - 1978-07-19 . . . . e e RESOLUTION NO. 1150 A RESOLUTION OF THE SEAL BEACH PLANNING COMMISSION APPROVING V-13-78 FOR TANDEM PARKING AND REDUCTION IN LOADING ZONE ZONE FOR A COMMERCIAL BUILDING. WHEREAS, an application was duly filed by Triple R Properties, 201 Covina, Long Beach, for V-1a-78; and WHEREAS, the property is described as Lots 23 and 25, Block 208, Stanton & Lothian's 1st Addition, and is more commonly known as 323 Matn St.; and WHEREAS, the proposal is to construct a two-story commercial building with tandem parking and less than required loading zone; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commisston makes the following fi'ndings regarding the variance: 1. The variance will not effect the General Plan since this is a commerctal development in the commercial zone. 2. The shape of the property precludes providing adequate parking wi'thout using tandem parking. 3. The loading zone will be adequate for the building. 4. The variance is not a grant of special privilege because other narrow commercial lots with small buildings have been granted simi'lar variances. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission does hereby approve V-13-78 subject to the condition that uses in the building be limited to those uses for which adequate on-site parking is provided. PASSED AND APPROVED on July 19, 1978, by the following vote: AYES: Lanning, Knapp, Ripperdan, Cook, Covington NOES: None ABSENT: None c~#~ ATTEST: ~~ Secretary
