RESOLUTION No. 1533 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH, RECOMMENDING THAT ZONE TEXT AMENDMENT 1-89 BE REJECTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL The Planning Commission of the City of Seal Beach does hereby resolve as follows: WHEREAS: The City of Seal Beach processed a formal request to modify the zoning ordinance, section 28-2316, of the City of Seal Beach to allow ten foot (10') fences along major arterial highways; and WHEREAS: a duly noticed Public Hearing was held on March 15, 1989 before the Planning Commission and Zone Text Amendment 1-89; and WHEREAS: The Planning Commission, after due consideration and review, approved a position that the fence provisions of the zoning ordinance should not be amended to allow ten foot (10') fences along arterial highways, and that the current maximum height of eight feet (8') should be provided as the maximum allowable height. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Planning Commission hereby recommends that the City Council reject Zone Text Amendment 1-89, and retain the current maximum fence height of eight feet (8').
