RESOLUTION NO. 1233
A RESOLUTION OF THE SEAL BEACH PLANNING COMMISSION
APPROVING AND RECOMMENDING TO CITY COUNCIL AMEND-
MENTS TO THE ZONING REGULATIONS ESTABLISHING AN
HISTORIC CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT PROCEDURE
THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH HEREBY RESOLVES AS
FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, local historic buildings and structures exist in the City; and
WHEREAS, some local historic buildings and structures are worthy of
preservation and renovation; and
WHEREAS, the City zoning regulations do not contain a procedure to deal
with historic buildings and structures; and
WHEREAS, an amendment to the City zoning regulations establishing an
historic conditional use permit procedure would permit an
historic building or structure to be renovated or perserved while
retaining local control over approvals on the site.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission does hereby
approve and recommend to City Council adoption of an historic conditional
use permit procedure.
