HomeMy WebLinkAboutPC Res 1281 - 1983-04-20 e RESOLUTION NUMBER 1281 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISION OF THE CITY SEAL BEACH DENYING V-3-83 FOR ADDITIONS TO A NONCONFORMING BUILDING THE PLANNING COMMISSION of the City of Seal Beach hereby resolves: WHEREAS, an application was duly filed by Philip Lund and Lyman Sutter, 2701 St. Louis Avenue, Signal Hill for V-3-83; and WHEREAS, the property is described as Lots 9 & 10, Block 12, Bay City Tract and is more commonly known as 1217-1223 Ocean Avenue; and WHEREAS, variance V-3-83 requested approval to add a second story to a nonconforming 4 unit building on property containing 6 units; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission makes the following findings: . 1. The application does not demonstrate hardship due to size, shape, topography, location or surroundings that deprives this property of privileges enjoyed by other property in the same vicinity and zone. 2. The granting of the variance would constitute a grant of special privilege inconsistent with other limitations upon other properties in the same vicinity and zone. 3. Denial of this application, without prejudice would permit a future submittal of revised plans on this same property in less than a one year time period. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission does hereby deny V-3-83 without prejudice. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the Planning Commission of the City of Seal Beach at a meeting thereof held on the 20th day of April , 1983 by the following vote: AYES: NOES: Commissioners Goldenberg, Jessner, Smith, Covington Commissioners None ABSENT: Commissioners ABSTAIN: Commissioners Perrin e Commission ~ a..B Secretary to Planning Commission
