RESOLUTION NO. 33

A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SEAL BEACH APPROVING VARIANCE NO.'V-8-65
FOR CONSTRUCTION OF AN ADDITION TO THE REAR OF AN
EXISTING STRUCTURE USED AS A MEDICAL OFFICE
BUILDING LOCATED AT 119 MAIN STREET.
\ WHEREAS, in the matter of Variance Application No. V-8-65, the Planning Commission

\ of the City of Seal Beach does report as follows:
1. Subject case was initiated by Edith R. DeSadeleer, 519 Ocean Ave., Seal Beach,
owner of the subject property.
2. Subject proposal is for addition to the rear of an existing structure used as
a medical office building located at 119 Main Street, with less parking
provided on the site than required by code. Legal description of the property
is Lot 19, Block 8, Bay City Tract.
3. Parking Space
(a) Existing - 3 spaces
(b) Required (including new addition) 9 spaces
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission findings are as follows:

1. The subject property is located within the parking district established in
the 100 block of Main Street by the City and the property owners in the dist~ict
for the express purpose of providing community off-street parking for all
businesses in the 100 block. It is within 300 feet of this public parking lot.
2. The proposed addition will not reduce the number of parking spaces presently
existing on the lot.
3. It is not physically possible to provide additional spaces on the subject
property.
4. No protests have been received, written or oral. One affirmative written
communication has been received.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of the City of Seal
Beach does hereby approve Variance No. V-8-65 to allow addition to the rear of the
building on Lot 19, Block 8, Bay City Tract, as shown on the attached plot plan,
with 3 off-street parking spaces.
ADOPTED AND APPRQVED this 2nd day of June, 1965.

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted at a regular
adjourned meeting of the Planning Commission of the City of Seal Beach which was
held ou June 2, 1965 and carried by the following vote:
