HomeMy WebLinkAboutPC Res 42 - 1965-09-15 . e .. . RESOLUTION NO. 42 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH APPROVING PLAN REVIEW APPLICATION NO. PR-10-65 FOR PARTIAL COMMERCIAL USE OF AN EXISTING APARTMENT BUILDING IN THE C-l ZONE AT BAY BOULEVARD AND LANDING AVENUE. WHEREAS, in the matter of the request for approval of a plan for proposed use of a portion of an apartment building for commercial uses by Mr. LeRoy Harrison (Application No. PR-10-65) the Planning Commission of the City of Seal Beach does report as follows: 1. Subject case was initiated by LeRoy Harrison, 1114 Ocean Ave., Seal Beach. 2. Subject plan is for a property located at the northerly corner of Landing Avenue at Bay Boulevard, being Lots 1, 3, and the southwesterly 10 feet of Lot 5, Block 217, Tract 10, Anaheim Bay Tract, as per map recorded Book 9, Page 10, of Miscellaneous Maps of Orange County. 3. Subject plan is for remodeling of the two front downstairs apartments (of a two-story, 8 apartment building) and change in their use from residential to commercial (one as a realtor's office and one as a beauty parlor). 4. The zoning for this site is C-l. ~ WHEREAS, the Planning Commission findings are as follows: 1. The proposed uses are proper in the C-l Zone. 2. The proposed uses would reduce the present degree of nonconforming use (multiple residential in the C-l Zone). 3. The off-street parking shown is adequate in number (11 spaces) but approval should be granted conditioned upon further investigation and approval of arrangement of spaces and access, etc. by the City Engineer. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of the City of Seal Beach does hereby approve Plan Review Application No. PR-10-65, subject to the conditions indicated in Finding No. 3 above.
