A RESOLUTION OF TilE PLANNIl\G COH~IIS5JON OF
TilE CITY OF SEAL BEACH APPROVING VARIANCE
APPLICATION 1\0. V-15-65
WIIERI:.AS. in the r.latter of Variance Application No. V-15-65, the PlanninR Commission
of the Ci ty of 51.'nl Beach does report as follows:
1. Subject case waR initiated by Eugene A. and Betty June HcKee. 801 Mar Vista
Ave.. Seal Ceach.
2. Subject proposal is to provide two paved but uncovered parking spaces and
one existing r,arar,e space as the Tequired off-street parking for a temporary
college sorority use of the residence at 301 Ocean Avenue.
3. LeRal description of the property is Lots 1 & 2. Block 3. Uay City Tract.
4. Subject property is located in tile R-3 Zone of the Coastal Uistrict.

1. A sorority is an allowabie use in the R-3 Zone.
2. Proposal is for use of three bedrooms, thus requiring three covered off-
strvet parkjn~ spaces.

3. Proposal is for temporary use as a sorority. saiu use to remain only until
the cloRe of the spring semester. 1966.
4. One written objection was received. No oral objection by neighbors in
attendance at the hearing. based upon understanding that this will be
limited to a temporary use.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Plnnninp, Commbsion of the City of
Seal 8eAch does hereby approve Variance Application No. V-15-65 for property
at 301 Ocean Av~nue to be used as a college sorority rooming house. with two
(2) paved. but uncovered parking spaces and one covered Rarap.e space. The
approval of this variance is subj oct to the follo\"ing conditions:
1. ~o more than thTPe (3) rooms in the building shall be used as bedrooms.
2. This variance is for a temporary term use only and shall not be effective
after June 30. 1966.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 15th day of December, 1965.
