A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
I
CITY OF SEAL BEACH APP~OVING USE VARIANCE
APPLICATION NO. UV-1-6\).
WHEREAS, in the matter of Use Variance Application No. UV-1-66, the Planning
Commission of the City of Seal Beach does report as follows:
1. Subject case was initiated by Charles S. Lofton, Golden Rain shareholder,
13110 Seaview Lane, Apt. 245F, Seal Beach, California.
2. Present zoning of the area is R-3 PD.
3. Subject proposal is to permit the use of a living unit located at 13560
St. Andrews Dr., Apt. 3F, Seal Beach, as a church office and reading ~oom
by the Christian Science Society of Seal Beach.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission findings are as follows:
1. This operation has been in existance for several months under complete
approval of the Golden Rain Foundation and the Federal Housing Authority.
2. No protests were received, written or oral.
3. This appears to be a use which is compatible with other uses in the area.

N,)W, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of the City of Seal
Beach does hereby approve Use Variance No. UV-1-66 permitting the above
described unit to be used by the Christian Science Society of Seal Beach as a
church office and reading room only, subject to the following condition:
In accordance with Planning Commission Policy adopted January 13, 1964,
this Use Variance shall not become effective until approved by the City
Council of the City of Seal Beach.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 2nd day of February, 1966'.
