HomeMy WebLinkAboutPC Res 90 - 1966-10-19 e . . RESOLUTION NO. 90 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH APPROVING VARIANCE APPLICATION NO. V-13-66 FOR REDUCTION IN REAR YARD SETBACK (MURPHY) WHEREAS, in the matter of Variance No. V-13-66, the Planning Commission of the City of Seal Beach does report as follows: 1. Subject case was initiated by Charles Murphy, 910 Fathom, Seal Beach. 2. Legal description of the property is Lot 359, Tract 1817. 3. Request is for construction of a bedroom and bath as an addition to the rear of an existing dwelling on the property in the R-l Zone. The proposed addition would set back six feet from the rear property line and be immediately adjacent to a 6 foot utility easement along the rear line. Code requirement for the R-l Zone is a ten foot rear yard. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission findings are as follQws: 1. The proposed addition will not be detrimental to the neighborhood and zone. . 2. The proposed addition will add usefulness and value to the subject property. 3. Because of the shape of the lot and the original orientation of the building on the site, this appears to be the most logical means of creating additional living space. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of the City of Seal Beach does hereby approve Variance No. V-13-66 to allow construction to a setback line of six (6) feet from the rear line at 910 Fathom Avenue, Seal Beach, per the attached plan. APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of October, 1966. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted at a regular meeting of the Planning Commission of the City of Seal Beach which was held on October. 19, 1966, and carried by the following vote: AYES: NOES: ABSENT: Commissioners: Commissioners: Commissioners: Boeger, Crowley, Jones, Lanning, Murphy None None . q/o ~
