RESOLUTION NO. :. 101
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH ESTABLISHING A POLICY
TO MAINTAIN CLOSER LIAISANCE WITH THE CITY
COUNCIL.
WHEREAS, in the matter of communication between the Planning Commission and the
City Council, the Planning Commission of the City of Seal Beach does report
as follows:
To date, the method of transmitting information from the Planning Commission t~
the City Council concerning planning or zoning' actions has been by means of the
written records for each case. This has often resulted in misinterpretati~n by
the Council of the Commission's intent in taking an action. An improvement in
understanding in these matters would be possible if a Commi~sion member were .
present to verbally explain the situation at a Council meeting in which a
Commission action is being reviewed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that a Commission member should attend each
Council meeting at which a planning matter of any importance is to be considered,
and that the Secretary of the Commission is directed to establish a rotation
system for such service by Commissioners and he shall notify the appropriate
Commissioner of the time to be present at each such Council meeting.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 23rd day of November, 1966.
