WHEREAS. in the mat'r:er of proper performance and development standards for automobile service stations. the Planning Commission of the City of Seal Deach does report as follows: 1. No detailed standards o( performance and deve1opme.'t for automobile service stations are presently included in Ordinance No. 628 (Z~nir.~). 2. The City Encineer has submitted for review and adoption a proposed Amendment to Article 18 of Ord1nance.No. 628. Said amenmnent shall provide (or addition of Section 18.35 "Automobile Service Stations. Performance and Development Standards". 3. A duly advertised public hearlng on this matter was held before the P1.mninB Commission on September 6 and 20. 1967. l-:HEREAS. the Planning Commission findings are as fol10,ols: 1. The automobile service station \1arrants special considerat~on because of several important elements of desip,n and operation that are unique and significant. The Oranp,e County Planning Department has made a thorough analysis of these considerations and has pub1ihhC'd "Zoning Code Rcsc=trch R(i'port No.3 - The Automobile Service Station". The analysis and conclusions presented in said report are logical and acceptable and are hereby included as part of these findings. 2. 1'he proposed ordinance are~nding Article 18 of Ordinancr 628 to add S~ction 1835. Automobile Service Stations. Performance and D(i'velop~ent Standards. as prepared by the City En~ineer is acceptable and appropriate with the follo\7ing revisions: (a) RevIse Section (e) lliill!. to add paragraph (5) "In cO~l'utiJ1g the area of a double Cac.e sign. the area of a Ringle (ace only will be used. pro- vided that the si8n panel is not over 24 inches in thickness". RESOLUTION ~O. 154 - 2. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Plilnning Commi Asior. of tl..
