V-30-67 TO CONSTRUCT GARAGE WITH SECOND STORY APARTMENT ENCROACHING INTO REAR YARD SETBACK ON UPPER FLOOR ONLY. (ARGUELLES) ~IEREAS, in the matter of Variance Application No. V-30-67, the Planning Commission of the City of Seal Beach does report as follows: I. Subject request initiated by Joe Manuel Arguelles, 128 Dolphin St., Seal Beach. 2. Subject property is described as Lot 6, Block B, Tract No.1. 3. Subject request is to allow a second floor overhang to encroach six feet into the rear yard setback. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission findings are as follows: 1. A number of similar variances have been granted in the past. 2. The proper turning radius into the garage is maintained. 3. A six foot setback would be maintained at upper story level and wDuld not be detrimental to alley traffic. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of the City of Seal Beach does hereby approve Variance V-30-67 to allow construction of a conforming structure with a second floor overhang to encroach six feet into the required rear yard. ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 18th day of October, 1967.
