RESOLUTION NO.
220
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SEAL BEACH APPROVING USE VARIANCE NO.
UV-3-68 FOR A SIGN REFERRING TO ON AND OFF
SITE DEVELOPMENTS (BIXBY RANCH CO.)
WHEREAS, in the matter of Use Variance No. UV-3-68, the Planning Commission of
the City of Seal Beach does report as follows:
1. Subject request was initiated by Bixby Ranch Co., 911 Studebaker Rd., Long
Beach, Calif.
2. Subject property is located at the northwest corner of the San Diego-Garden
Grove Freeway and Los Alamitos Boulevard.
3. Subject request is to locate a windmill as a symbol of the ranch and an
8 x 24 foot sign to advertise on and off-site Bixby Ranch Co. developments.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission findings are as follows:
1. Subject request will not adversely affect the General Plan.
2. Subject property does not adjoin private property.
. 3. Only one face of the 8 x 24 foot siRn shall be used.
4. The nearby property will be landscaped and maintained.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of the City of Seal
Beach does hereby approve Use Variance No. UV-3-68 with the following conditions:
1. Applicant receive necessary State permits and notify the Commission of State
approval.
2. The windmill shall not exceed a height of thirty-five feet.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 5th day of June, 1968.
