V-15-68 TO PEJl}IIT A SECOND STORY TO ENCROACH 3'6" INTO THE REQUIRED REAR YARD SETBACK. (TARANTO) WlIERF.AS, in the matter of Variance No. V-15-68, the PlanninR Commission of the City of Seal Beach does report as follows: 1. Subject request by RosalIa Taranto, 145 13th St., Seal Beach, and Thomas Casenza, authorized agent, 2503 E. 10th St., Long Beach. 2. Subject property is located at 145 13th St., and leRally described as Lot 45, Block 12, Bay City Tract. 3. Subject request is to permit construction of an addition with the second story encroachinR 3'6" into the required rear yard setback. WlIEREAS, the PlanninR Commission findings are as follows: 1. Similar requests have been granted in the past. 2. This request will not adversely affect the General Plan. . 3. No written or oral complaints were received. 4. Applicant stated the first floor bedroom/family room in the proposed addition is an integral part of the rear second floor unit and will not be rented or used as a bachelor unit. 5. City officials shall be required to make random inspection of the buildinR and site to verify that all Codes will be complied wit~. 6. In the future, if reconstruction of the front unit is requested by applicant or subsequent property owner, all parkinR shall gain access from the alley in accord with off-street parkil1R requirements. There shall be no curb cut at the front of the property. 7. This variance shall become null and void if any provisions of this variance or of the R-3 zone are not adhered to completely. NOW, TIIEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Plannin~ Commission of the City of Seal Beach does hereby approve Variance No. V-15-68.
