V-19-68 PERMITTING USE OF A GARAGE UNDER THE REAR HALF OF A BUILDING FOR TEMPORARY SAIL- MAKING AND OFFICE USE. (MILLER) WHEREAS, in the matter of Variance No. V-19-68, the Planning Commission of the City of Seal Beach does report as follows: 1. Subject request initiated by Mr. Stan Miller, 245 Marina Drive, Long Beach, California. 2. Subject property legally described as Lot 7 and 8, Block 209, Bay View Tract and located at 913 and 915 Electric Avenue, Seal Beach, California. 3. Subject request is to use a garage under the rear half of a building for temporaTy sailmaking and office use. Applicant proposes to obtain permission to park employees vehicles on the St. Anne's parking lot on 10th Street. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission's findings are as follows: 1. Applicant is unable to build a proposed addition before onset of the normal "rush" season. 2. Applicant will furnish the City with a copy of the agreement between themselves and St. Annes Church on 10th Street whereby the church grants applicant and employees permission to park automobiles on the church parking lot. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of the City of Seal Beach does hereby approve Variance No. V-19-68 subject to the findings above and the following: 1. Said conversion is approved for a six month period beginning January I, 1969, and terminating June 30, 1969, with no extensions of time. 2. Staff is authorized to make random inspection to verify that employees are using the parking lot as agreed. If not, this variance is null and void. 3. If the church cancels the aforesaid agreement, the variance is null and void and said garage space shall immediately be msae available for employee automobile parking.
