V-8-69 FOR A FIVE FOOT ENCROACHMENT OF THE SECOND FLOOR INTO REAR YARD SETBACK. (CUMMINGS) WHEREAS, in the matter of Variance No. V-8-69, the Planning Commission of the City of Seal Beach does report as follows: 1. Subject request initiated by Willard W. Cummings, 1947 Manhattan Ave., Hermosa Beach, California. 2. Subject property is legally described as Lot 54, Block 12, Bay City Tract, and located at 154 12th St., Seal Beach. 3. Subject request is for a five foot encroachment of the second floor into the rear yard setback. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission findings are as follows: 1. Granting the variance would not be detrimental to the neighborhood. 2. Similar variances have been permitted in the past for second story encroachments. 3. No written complaints were received. 4. This request will not adversely affect the General Plan. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of the City of Seal Beach does hereby approve Variance No. V-8-69.
