A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH APPROVING VARIANCE
APPLICATION NO. V-10-69. (LONG)
WHEREAS, in the matter of Variance Application No. V-10-69, the Planning Commission
of the City of Seal Beach does report as follows:
1. Subject case was initiated by Kay Long, 173 Kathleen Lane, Orange, California.
2. Subject property ia described as Lot 37, Block 12, Bay City Tract. Street
address is 137 13th St., Seal Beach.
3. Subject proposal is to construct a triplex with the second atory encroaching
into the rear yard setback on a lot zoned R-3 Multiple Residential.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission findings are as followa:
1. Granting of this variance would not be detrimental to the area.
2. Similar variances have been granted in the paat for the second story to
encroach into the required rear yard.
3. One written protest was received regarding possible obstruction of view.
. 4. This request will not adversely affect the General Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of the City of Seal
Beach doea hereby approve Variance No. V-1Q-69 to allow the second story to
encroach five feet into the required rear yard and directs the Building Department
to proceed with granting of the building permit whether or not the permit is
actually issued prior to March I, 1969.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 22nd day of February, 1969.
